What About Rain?

A little rain won't stop us, but we may cancel events due to continuous rain. You can find out by calling (650) 355-6635 on the morning of the scheduled event. If no one is available to answer in person, up-to-date information is available as a recorded message.

What do HOTM Volunteers do?

Heart of the Mountain Volunteers work outdoors to restore a beautiful and endangered freshwater wetland in the headwaters of Colma Creek.

You may help remove invasive plants, collect seeds and cuttings, propagate marsh and scrub plants, and then outplant them. Get involved in the cycle of restoration and become a steward of the land.

The healing land brings great satisfaction to those who love nature, the outdoors, and life in all its wondrous diversity. We provide the tools, training, gloves, and goodies. Bring your energy and enthusiasm to help make a real difference and become the Heart of the Mountain!

Interested in a Community Group Drop-in?

We have community drop-in workdays on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. We can schedule a special project for your work group Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays. Please call (650) 355-6635 or email us for details.
